OUR STORY
Clemson® Miracle is a yearlong effort involving community, hospitality and marketing events at local businesses that culminate in our event each spring where students remain awake and on their feet for 11 hours to represent the hardships faced by children battling pediatric illness. Clemson® Miracle started in 2009, and since our start we have raised more than $1 million for the Miracle Families at Prisma Health Children's Hospital of the Upstate, our local Children's Miracle Network hospital. Today, Clemson® Miracle involves 24 Executive Members.
2017
Faculty and students of the Clemson University Horticulture Department and the 2017 Sustainable Landscape Garden Design Laboratory Class redesigned the garden to incorporate the hospital staff’s vision of what the healing garden could be.
The garden space of roughly 3,500 square feet was revamped to make the area more inviting with fresh design elements that feature a pathway to accommodate wheelchairs and rolling IV poles, a small bridge and archways, and whimsical stone animals placed throughout the area. The funds for the renovation were raised from 2010 to 2017.
Clemson® Miracle raised $126,848.
